Learning te reo Mori enables us to explore our identity as NewZealanders and pass on our passion to others and future generations.
Te Reo Mori is a highly recommended study option for those who might work with Indigenous people or industries, or in education, public, or communications roles that require bicultural and multiculturalcompetency.
For the major in the Bachelor of Arts, complete the following courses:

If you have little or no previous background in te reo Mori, it is also strongly advised to take .
200-level
and are recommended.
300-level
You are also encouraged to take courses in Mori and Indigenous Studies. Up to 45 points can be included in the major.
Students completing a double major in Te Reo Mori and Mori and Indigenous Studies in the Bachelor of Arts must complete a total of 270 unique points in the two course areas.
For the minor in the Bachelor of Arts, Commerce, Digital Screen, Health Sciences, Product Design, Psychological Science, Science, Social and Environmental Sustainability, Sport, or Youth and Community Leadership, complete the following courses:
