Sport Marketing Challenge

Come up with an exciting marketing strategy泭to re-engage with sport in a Covid-19 environment!

HOW TO APPLY

The Sport Marketing Challenge is an in-person competition for泭all UC students, working together in teams, to find innovative ways to solve marketing challenges faced by the Sports sector.

Over 2 days - Friday 13 and Saturday 14 May 2022 - you will泭have the chance to make an impact on a real Canterbury challenge!

You do not need an idea in advance - you will be introduced to the Challenge question on the day of the launch (Tuesday 10 May - online) and start ideation with your team. During the Challenge, you will receive mentoring and input from industry experts to help your team develop your idea. On the final day of the Sport Marketing Challenge, your team will pitch your concept to a panel of judges. The top ideas will get a share of the泭$500 cash prize pool泭as well as great in-kind prizes from the Crusaders!.

The Challenge is the perfect opportunity to meet some new people, hone your skills, build your CV, experience new ways of working and泭have a real impact!

If you cant be there in person, well make an online option for you!泭

Who should sign up?

UC students across all degrees and study levels are welcome to attend our Challenge! No background experience in marketing or sport is required - this Challenge is designed for all tertiary students of all levels.

Do I need a team in advance?

If you already have a team, thats great - you can register as a team (3 to 5 people max.) for in-person泭or泭online participation. Otherwise, we will organise a team for you.泭

Who is running the Challenge?

The UC Centre for Entrepreneurship, UC Business School, UC Health and the Crusaders are working in partnership to provide this exciting opportunity.
