The Postgraduate Diploma in Science offers those with some background in science the opportunity to undertake more advanced and in-depth study in a subject. Over 20 subjects are available, and some can only be studied at postgraduate level, which can allow for specialisation and career pathways for graduates.
The Diploma is primarily coursework-based, but some courses allow for independent project work or research.
You will need a Bachelor of Science, or any bachelor's degree with approved undergraduate science courses. The precise prerequisites vary for each major subject, but are normally at least a B- Grade Point Average in 300-level courses.
If English is your additional language, you are also required to meet UC's English language requirements.

The PGDipSc is made up of four full-year courses or eight single-semester courses selected from a range of options.
Normally the Diploma must be completed in 1 year of full-time study, unless approval is granted for part-time enrolment (for up to 5 years).
You can begin studies in February or for some subjects, in July please contact the relevant department for clarification.
