Master of Artificial Intelligence

Introduction

UC's Master of Artificial Intelligence (MAI) allows you to build on previous studies in computing and venture into the field of AI engineering and innovation.

Over the past decade, AI has become part of a large collection of powerful technologies that are applied widely to almost every area of life. In Aotearoa, there are important applications in our primary industry, high-value manufacturing, climate change, tourism, gaming, social interaction, and many more. This huge expansion requires many new graduates who understand AI and have expertise to use AI techniques to solve real-world problems.

This applied master's programme combines taught and practical coursework, culminating in a personalised project. The curriculum focuses on equipping you with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively utilise AI methodologies in addressing real-world challenges.
