23 November 2023

Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | سԹ (UC)’s Business School has become the first institution in Australasia to receive the Business School Impact System (BSIS) label.

HOW TO APPLY

On top of an existingtriple crown accreditation, the UC Business School has become the first institution in Australasia to successfully complete the(BSIS) assessment process.

The first comprehensive impact assessment tool for global business schools, BSIS uses a framework of 120 indicators covering seven dimensions [including financial, economic and societal] to identify the tangible and intangible impact a school has on its local environment – the city or region in which it is located.

Te Kura Umanga | UC Business School’s mission is ‘In the Business of Making a Difference | ko te whakapiki mana tā mātou mahi,’ Executive Dean Professor Paul Ballantine explains.

“The BSIS impact assessment allows us to expand on this mission, identifying key strengths, highlighting the areas of distinctiveness that make our business school unique as we better understand how to communicate the difference we make, and the positive impact we have in the world around us as we work to further connect and develop our critical stakeholder relationships.

“We are very happy to be the first Business School within Australasia to receive the BSIS label.”

BSIS Director François Bonvalet looks forward to seeing the school’s continued innovation and growing positive influence.

“Congratulations to the UC Business School! The assessment unveiled the substantial positive impact it wields on its community in all the examined areas. The BSIS team commends UC Business School’s entrepreneurial spirit, societal impact, and academic excellence.”

The سԹ Business School now ranks among 65 schools across 20 countries to have received the BSIS label since 2012.
