Raising the Bar began in 2014 in New York City and quickly became an international event. Its since been held in San Francisco, London, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland. This was the second year that Te Whare Wnanga o Waitaha | 厙ぴ勛圖 (UC) has hosted this event.
