Master of Business Administration
With a decade of experience in marketing, banking finance, and FMCG retail from Papua New Guinea, Allen's MBA studies with UC gives him enhanced business and professional leadership skills.
I knew that the experience would be world class," he says. "I was impressed with the programme's credentials and I've had family members who have studied at UC in the past, so it was more of a trusted brand for me."
One of the better parts of the programme for his personal development was its focus on different leadership strategies and innovation.
"I can confidently say I am a better leader coming out of the programme," he says. "It gave me a deeper level of self-awareness which I was able to utilise and work closely with other like-minded individuals in the programme. I am more confident and hope that I can utilise these skills in my job."
He believes the MBA will also lead to better management opportunities because of how it improved his communication and collaborative skills with classmates "from all over the world".
"The experiential learning structure of the programme was invaluable. I worked with expert professionals from different industries and learned a lot from their experiences."
Allen looks forward to where his new business skills will take his career, and reflects fondly on the overall MBA experience.
"My time at UC has gone quicker than I could have imagined, however looking back I know I had an enjoyable experience here and I would highly recommend the MBA programme to anyone who is interested to study in New Zealand!"
