This exhibition was the result of a project undertaken by third-year BA student, Georgia Jones, who was appointed to an arts internship with the Logie Collection in 2014. Georgia majored in Classics, French, and Media and Communication at Canterbury, and hoped to pursue a career in Journalism.
The James Logie Memorial Collection in the Teece Museum of Classical Antiquities is one of the سԹ's great treasures. The Logie Collection contains some of the finest classical antiquities in New Zealand, and is available for public vewing, research and teaching. To find out more about the collection, seewebpages. To find out more about studying classics at UC, visit theClassics Departmentwebpages.
TheArts Internshipsprogramme works jointly with businesses and community organisations to provide productive and strategic outcomes on real world projects. Interns are able to gain valuable work experience with a business or organization, and complete an academic research component related to their work experience.
