OUR NATIONAL MEMBERSHIPS
New سԹGreen Building Council advocates for better buildings, because better buildings mean healthier, happier Kiwis. They are New Zealand's leading sustainable building not-for-profit and represent hundreds of companies and organisations who believe they can transform the built environment. Current membership is over 700. The سԹ has been a member since 2006.
The SDG Expert Working Group makes a sector contribution to New Zealand’s Voluntary National Review, a follow-up and review system for progress on the SDGs through the UN High-Level Political Forum, by delivering a coherent series of SDG Summits and supporting sustainable development work. The co-ordination of the Summits has proved beneficial in generating greater collaboration across the sector and increasing engagement with other sectors.
Aotearoa New سԹSustainable Development Goals Summits (a signatory of the SDG Declaration) were inspired by people wanting to collaborate across sectors to drive meaningful change for the SDGs. The Summits bring together people from civil society, government, the business community, and with strong mana whenua and Pacific peoples input they have helped shape a uniquely Aotearoa New سԹresponse to the SDGs. The سԹ, Lincoln University and Ara Institute, with support from Christchurch City Council, co-hosted the Summit in 2020-2021.
