Canterbury Engineering the Future (CETF)

12 September 2024

The Canterbury Engineering the Future (CETF) project has rebuilt and refurbished every wing of UC's engineering precinct. This included constructing a new Structural Engineering Laboratory to make sure our students have the most modern educational facilities available. Learn more about Canterbury Engineering the Future (CETF).

HOW TO APPLY

The Electrical and Computer Engineering wing and the Chemical and Process Engineering wing were completed in 2016 and the Engineering Core, at the heart of the precinct, welcomed its first students at the start of 2017.

The Core introduces a dynamic new element where staff and students can learn and socialise together in a modern environment designed to promote learning and research collaborations. It encourages the sort of interactions between different engineering departments and between undergraduate and postgraduate students that inspire innovative solutions.

The precinct now provides UC students with some of the best facilities for teaching, learning and research in the southern hemisphere, and will do so for decades to come.
