Kiri’s Ngāi Tahu hapū are Ōraka Aparima, Awarua and Taumutu  

Her role is to support the Kaiārahi to facilitate authentic relationships between Māori and researcher, and to help build the capability of Māori within the research space. She believes weaving mātauranga Māori with science ensures a holistic approach that resonates with Māori values and benefits future generations.
