I am interested in how active geological processes affect society and modify landscapes, and I like to be involved in projects that are meaningful for the community. My current research consists of determining how and when lava erupted from Mt Ruapehu after the last glacial maximum. I will utilize high resolution remote sensing techniques, paleomagnetism and cosmogenic nuclide datingto contribute towards a multihazard assessment for the southernzone of the Tongariro National Park (NZ).
