Purpose-built
UC Science students benefit from the most modern university science and research facilities in the Southern Hemisphere, as well as modern computer laboratories, video equipment, equipment for animal behaviour and neuroscience research and teaching.
The extensive facilities already in use by UC Science students were boosted by the opening of the $216 million Regional Science and Innovation Centre, in early 2018. In this exciting learning space our staff and students are able to collaborate, be inspired and grow their scientific knowledge about New سԹand the world.
Beyond the classroom
Students have plenty of opportunities to test out their knowledge – UC has the most field stations of any New سԹuniversity! Our courses make extensive use of the field stations in CassԻWestport.
We also operate New Zealand's leading astronomical observatory at Mount John, Tekapo, and have research bases in Antarctica and the Nigerian rainforest.
Speech and Hearing students also have excellent resources including eight on-site clinics.
