HOW TO APPLY

I am researching the seal integrity of mudstones in the Taranaki Basin for their suitability to store hydrogen. To achieve this I am focussing on potential leakage pathways, primarily faults and fractures in the subsurface to understand their potential for reactivation or leakage in hydrogen storage scenarios. My research approach uses fundamental techniques developed in basin exploration and uses them in an exciting new way with applications for many different geoenergy fluids.

Before commencing my PhD I researched the reservoir potential for storing fluids in rhyolitic lava domes.

Research interests:
Structural geology, geomechanics, petrophysics

Working thesis title:
Seal integrity for hydrogen geostorage in depleted gas reservoirs of Taranaki, New Zealand.

Academic history:
BSc Geology, 厙ぴ勛圖
